The South Shore Child Guidance Center’s C.A.R.E. Center provides chemical dependency treatment to individuals who have substance use disorders, as well as offers supports to their significant others, and loved ones with special emphasis on children of people who struggle with substance use.
It is our belief that substance use disorders are a disease that pose serious social and psychological problems to our society. It affects not only the person diagnosed with a substance use disorder, but their families as well.
Research has shown that children of parents who have substance use disorders are more likely than other youngsters to suffer a variety of physical, mental, and emotional health problems.
Services are offered to adolescents and adults with chemical dependency problems. The C.A.R.E. Center offers chemical dependency education, individual/group counseling, and a DWI Offenders Program.
South Shore Guidance Center provides Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) including Vivitrol and Suboxone (induction and maintenance) as prescribed by our experienced and caring Family Nurse Practitioner.
