Full-Time and Part-Time Direct Support Professional Positions (DSP), throughout Nassau & Suffolk Counties
Under the general direction of the manager, the Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing direct care services to the individuals we support in such a manner that promotes independence and individuality. Candidates must have a HS Diploma/GED. A valid NYS Driver’s License is required for most positions. Experience working with individuals with intellectual challenges a plus but not required. CPR certified and SCIP-R certified a plus, but not required.
Part-Time-At-Home Community Habilitation Specialist (Comm Hab) In Nassau and Suffolk Counties
Under the general direction of the Community Services Coordinator, the In-Home Residential Habilitation Support Professional is responsible for providing services to the consumer in accordance with the established Individual Service Plan as well as the In-Home Residential Habilitation Plans. This dedicated candidate will be responsible for providing training and support for the individual in accordance with the person’s In-Home Residential Habilitation Plans; and assisting the individual in the planning, coordinating and attending community inclusion activities within his/her home and community
MEDICAL DSP
Under the general direction of the Residence Manager, the Medical Direct Support Professional will provide practical assistance to the program nurse; and direct care to the individuals we service in such a manner that will their promote independence, individualization, inclusion into the community, and productivity.
Full time position with a Monday-Friday 7a-3p schedule. MUST HAVE: Prior DSP & AMAP experience as well as a clean and valid NYS DRIVERS LICENSE
DSP WITH EXPERIENCE IN CHALLENGING BEHAVIORS NEEDED
Are you a DSP that has worked with challenging individuals? We have open positions in our behavioral homes that need you! Once fully trained, you can earn between $19-$20 an hour
Requirements for the DSP & Comm Hab positions:
High School Diploma or a GED, a college degree in Human Service, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred. A minimum of one-year experience providing direct care support to intellectually challenged individuals is preferred. A clean and valid NYS Driver’s License required. The ideal candidate is highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities; able to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; and able to work flexible hours including late evenings, early mornings, overnight and weekends.
