SSCGC provides Office of Mental Health licensed clinical services onsite at Roosevelt Middle School in Roosevelt and JW Dodd Middle School in Freeport.

The South Shore Child Guidance Center’s School Support II Program provides intervention, evaluation, counseling and wrap around services to improve behavioral, as well as academic performance, of the child.

The School Support II works to bring together family, school and community in collaboration with behavioral health professionals.

The School Support II Program operates for the local middle and high school level students without regards to race, color, sex, national origin, or disability.

Fees: Medicaid reimbursement is accepted. Health insurance may cover part or all of the fees for services provided.

Point of Information: The School Support II Program of South Shore Child Guidance Center is the only funded program of its type in Nassau County.

Funding is provided by the Nassau County Department of Mental Health, Chemical Dependency and Developmental Disabilities and, New York State Office of Mental Health.
