Board ChairpersonJeff is the President of EPICs Board of Directors and has been actively involved in EPIC and the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island for more than a decade. He has served on the Board since 2007 and has chaired several of the foundation’s annual fund-raising events. Jeff has practiced law since 1994 and is a partner at Gibbons P.C. in the firm’s New York office. He is part of the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation Department and Electronic Discovery Task Force and counsels both domestic and international clients on a wide array of commercial legal issues. Jeff received his J.D. from NYU School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. Since 1997, Jeff has resided in Garden City, Long Island, with his wife, Heather, and their three children.

SecretaryHenry Klosowski has been with Moritt Hock & Hamroff since April 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Klosowski was a name partner at Horowitz, Mencher, Klosowski & Nestler, and P.C. Mr. Klosowski brings vast experience to the firm in all phases of trust and estate planning. He concentrates his practice in the areas of probate, estate administration, elder law, guardianships and estate litigation. Mr. Klosowski has written and lectured on a variety of topics, and recently spoke at meetings of American Express Financial Services, Comprehensive Planning, and the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States.

Carol Chen
Carol is Managing Director and Head of Commercial Real Estate at Genworth Financial, an insurance company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, where she leads the teams responsible for originations, credit, underwriting, and closing of commercial real estate debt across the U.S., and management of a $6.2 bn commercial real estate portfolio.
Prior to joining Genworth, Carol held other leadership positions in commercial real estate at PB Capital (a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank), Barclays Capital, and UBS.
A native New Yorker, Carol graduated from The Bronx High School of Science and attended Cornell University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and was a Dean’s Scholar. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Over the years, Carol has been active with various charitable organizations, including Minds Matter, Good Dog Foundation, and Cross-Cultural Solutions.
An avid runner, Carol has completed numerous races, including several full and half marathons. When she’s not running, she can often be found biking all over New York City or upstate New York.
