                We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

  • Development Associate: The Development Associate will play a key role in supporting the Development and Epilepsy Services Departments’ activities, focusing on fundraising, community engagement, and public relations efforts. Additionally, the role involves helping to plan program activities and community education events, as well as implementing a centralized volunteer initiative for the organization. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Valid New York State Driver’s License, previous experience in development or a related role preferred, proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Blackbaud e-tapestry, understanding of volunteer program management preferred.

Requirements for the DSP & Comm Hab positions: 

High School Diploma or a GED, a college degree in Human Service, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred. A minimum of one-year experience providing direct care support to intellectually challenged individuals is preferred. A clean and valid NYS Driver’s License required. The ideal candidate is highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities; able to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; and able to work flexible hours including late evenings, early mornings, overnight and weekends.

  • Full-Time and Part-Time Direct Support Professional Positions (DSP), throughout Nassau & Suffolk Counties- Under the general direction of the manager, the Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing direct care services to the individuals we support in such a manner that promotes independence and individuality. Candidates must have a HS Diploma/GED. A valid NYS Driver’s License is required for most positions. Experience working with individuals with intellectual challenges a plus but not required.  CPR certified and SCIP-R certified a plus, but not required.
  • Part-Time-At-Home Community Habilitation Specialist (Comm Hab) In Nassau and Suffolk Counties: Under the general direction of the Community Services Coordinator, the In-Home Residential Habilitation Support Professional is responsible for providing services to the consumer in accordance with the established Individual Service Plan as well as the In-Home Residential Habilitation Plans. This dedicated candidate will be responsible for providing training and support for the individual in accordance with the person’s In-Home Residential Habilitation Plans; and assisting the individual in the planning, coordinating and attending community inclusion activities within his/her home and community.
