The South Shore Child Guidance Center’s Clinic Program provides a range of outpatient services that includes assessment, psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and support, while promoting social and educational development.

We are dedicated to helping each child and family to optimize their personal growth and development and tailor our treatment plans to meet the needs of each child and family. Our services include individual, family and group therapy.

The staff at South Shore Child Guidance is specially trained in the treatment of children who have experienced trauma. We offer specialized individual and group trauma treatments.

Clinical services for children include:

 

  • Anxiety
  • Bullying/Cyberbullying
  • Depression
  • Abuse (physical, emotional, sexual)
  • Trauma
  • Conduct Disorder
  • Adjustment difficulties
  • Dealing with Divorce

South Shore Child Guidance Center is sponsored by the South Shore Child Guidance Association, Inc., and is a member agency of Long Island’s United Way, and a licensed and funded agency of the Nassau County Department of Mental Health, Chemical Dependency and Developmental Disabilities, New York State Office of Mental Health.

Clinic services are available 7 days a week. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and other private forms of insurance.
